The Special Event Coordinator enhances the Atlanta Humane Society's community presence through strategic event planning, execution, relationship building, and fundraising. This full-time role reports to the Director of Special Events, overseeing adoption and fundraising events, managing key aspects of the Bow Wow Brunch, and various projects as assigned. The ideal candidate is dynamic, with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of managing high-stakes relationships effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including adoption promotions and fundraising events.

Manage key logistical aspects to the Bow Wow Brunch including, but not limited to, production firms, venue staff, printers, photographers, and event rentals.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors through effective stewardship, ensuring timely acknowledgment, personalized engagement, and consistent follow-up to enhance donor satisfaction and retention.

Prepare post-event reports and handle post-event follow-up including gift acknowledgments, auction fulfillment, market research surveys, and correspondence with vendors and attendees.
