Coordinator.

This one-year role is uniquely designated for a person of African Descent, reflecting the focus of our work and the communities we serve. If this applies to you, we encourage you to self-identify in your application.





As Programs Coordinator, you will lead the development, coordination, and

delivery of key BGG programs, including:



•     Graduate to Employment Pathway

•     Entrepreneurship Pathway

•     Community Care Programs

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the success and growth of our programming

by supporting participants, managing day-to-day operations, strengthening partnerships, and driving 

innovation to meet the evolving needs of our

community.

 



Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Design



Conduct research and support consultations with participants and the broader community.



Collaborate with the Program Lead to ensure program design aligns with funder and partner requirements.



Contribute to recruitment strategies, promotional materials, and outreach initiatives.



Support the development of engaging content across social media and digital platforms.





Program Implementation

•     Co-facilitate sessions, workshops, and events in alignment with program objectives.

•     Monitor program outcomes and provide regular updates to the Program Lead.

•     Assist in creating and executing comprehensive evaluation plans.



Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.



Represent BGG in partner meetings, outreach events, and collaborative initiatives.



Ensure consistent and professional communication across all external engagements.



Reporting & Administration

•     Maintain organized records, documentation, and schedules.

•     Respond promptly to inquiries, emails, and phone calls.

•     Contribute to the administrative and operational aspects of program delivery.

Funding & Budget Management

•     Track and manage expenses, maintain timesheets, and ensure budget alignment.

•     Support the development of grant proposals and funding applications.

•     Collaborate on fundraising strategies and reporting to funders.

Qualifications

Proven leadership, organizational, and project management skills.



Experience developing and facilitating community-based programs.



Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.



Familiarity with feminist, anti-oppressive, and Africentric frameworks.



Proficiency in outreach, community-building, and partnership development.



Competence with basic budgeting, reporting, and evaluation processes.



Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).



Passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and continuous learning.

Work Environment & Expectations



Full-Time, 35 hours/week





•     Primarily Monday to Friday, with evening and occasional weekend work.

•     Hybrid or remote options may be available based on location and need.
