Job Description

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Westside Atlanta High Growth Industry Pathway, Program Manager position in the Economic Development Division. This position is full-time and located on Atlanta Tech's Main Campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

 

 

Job Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Westside Atlanta High Growth Industry Pathway career training program from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Grant. This program will support workforce development in Atlanta’s Westside neighborhoods of English Avenue and Vine City, providing skills training and job placement opportunities. This position is within the Atlanta Technical College Economic Development Division and is grant funded.

 

 

Major Duties:

  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the program and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Executes program scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Responsible for data management, collection and metrics.
  • Creates internal audit procedures to track and analyze overall performance data.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Assists with developing the program training schedules and participant recruitment.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to seek employment opportunities for program participants.
  • Develops and sustains relationships with community organizations, agencies, and employers to ensure that the essential needs of participants are met.
  • Develops follow-up process for program participants and employers (post-career placement) to determine continuing education needs and/or ongoing training plans.
  • Facilitates team and partner meetings and hold regular status meetings with the program team.
  • Completes tasks and assignments associated with developing, drafting, revising, and implementing documents, plans, manuals and handbooks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Competencies:

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365;
  • Skilled in planning and organizing projects;
  • Working knowledge of project management techniques and tools;
  • Ability to prepare project status reports of milestones, tasks and resources;
  • Ability to gather and present data in appropriate formats;
  • Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal, oral, written communication, decision-making, problem-solving and organizational skills;
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public;

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Some college or university experience and two (2) years of work-related or professional community engagement experience

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of supervisory experience
