This full-time exempt position reports to the Managing Director with the primary responsibility as the department's financial coordinator, while also providing support for departmental affairs such as artist contracts, vendor agreements, and facility arrangements. Occasional evenings and weekends are required, primarily in coordination with the SCPA season concert calendar.
The successful candidate will be a well-organized, self-motivated team player who is willing to support the many activities of a small department. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, be impeccable with details, and can facilitate several projects at any time. - Serve as the department’s primary financial coordinator, with responsibilities including coordination of accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, reporting, budget management, payment requests, employee expense reports, supplier/vendor setup, and interdepartmental transfers.
- Provide program support for departmental affairs to department leadership, faculty, staff, and external partners.
- Serve as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders and coordinate the processing of artist contracts, vendor agreements, and facility arrangements.
- Support the department with occasional evening and weekend work in coordination with event and concert schedules.
- In this facet, employee will manage merchandise sales for visiting artists, including coordination of inventory, sales tracking and distribution, and settlement, as well as assist with general hospitality duties, such as coordinating pre/post-concert receptions and artist meals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will have an incredible attention to detail, be self-motivated, and be experienced at managing projects from concept to completion.
- Experience in and a passion for the performing arts is preferable.
- Ideal candidate will be proficient in: Peoplesoft, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and InDesign and/or other design software.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at the Schwartz Center.
