Program Assistant for Culture and Community Engagement
Location-Onsite/Hybrid: Pittsburgh, PA (Findlay Township, near the Pittsburgh Airport), permits work-from-home.

What we do: In support of our member schools, ATS provides leadership education, data and research on theological education, offers programs to advance the missions of its members, and provides accreditation services. We have 15 administrative staff who meets regularly and are the backbone of our organization, getting tasks done, caring for logistical aspects of events/programs and generously helping all.
What you’ll do: As the administrative member of the diversities team your work will support grant funded initiatives focused on women in leadership, affinity groups and committee work, as well as global awareness and engagement. You will be essential to ensure the smooth operation of diversities’ programs, tasks such as: daily internal and external communications to coordinate meetings, arrange events (onsite and online), and provide technical support to directors. Offering hospitality, building professional relationships and growing in cultural competencies will be ongoing work in this role. This full-time (35-hours work week), flexible work schedule requires some travel for onsite event coordination.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, event planning, and project management skills
- Demonstrates hospitality and an ability to work with persons across diverse backgrounds
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft 365 suite and Zoom (simple video editing and posting webinar conversations)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Travel to onsite events and conferences
Our Preferred Candidate:
- 2-5 years of administrative experience in theological education, higher education, ministry, or non-profits
- Effectively interacts and works within diverse contexts - will be working on programming across cultural, denominational, and generational categories
