Are you passionate about raising up the next generation to know and follow Jesus? We are seeking a dynamic and relational leader to serve as our Next Gen Pastor, overseeing ministries for kids, youth, and young adults. In this role, you’ll partner with an incredible team of volunteers and staff to create vibrant, gospel-centered environments where young people can grow in their faith, build authentic community, and step into their God-given purpose.
Desired Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in theology, ministry, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience on a church staff, with a background in youth, children’s, or young adult ministries.
- Proven ability to inspire and equip teams while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present biblical truth in a relatable and engaging way for diverse age groups.
- A lifestyle that aligns with the biblical standards for leaders and a commitment to the mission and values of the church.
- Familiarity with and willingness to serve within the doctrinal commitments of the BF&M 2000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership for Next Gen ministries (children, youth, and young adults), ensuring a cohesive discipleship strategy that reflects the church's mission and values.
- Develop and oversee engaging, gospel-centered programs that inspire and equip young people to live as disciples of Jesus.
- Cultivate and empower a strong volunteer team by regularly identifying, training, and equipping leaders to serve in Next Gen ministries.
- Partner with parents and families to offer practical resources and encouragement for discipling their children at home.
- Preach and teach biblical truth regularly in Next Gen settings and occasionally in main church services.
- Build authentic relationships with students and young adults, providing mentorship, discipleship, and spiritual encouragement.
- Plan and lead impactful events, including camps, retreats, mission trips, and outreach opportunities.
- Develop outreach strategies to connect with unchurched young people in the community.
- Participate fully in church life, including staff meetings and retreats.
