The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor to the Services organization; providing both strategic and tactical HR support to Managers and employees.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Serve as a strategic business partner to the Campus Directors and Services leadership teams on both strategic & tactical human resources initiatives
• Be proactive in understanding the Mission business objectives & Services team priorities by identifying trends and developing solutions to improve employee engagement
• Develop leaders through HR consulting and thought leadership in the areas of organizational development, change management, and emotional intelligence
• Build a strong culture within each campus by working with the leadership team and all employees so they feel valued and engaged
• Formulate and implement an HR strategy at each campus consistent with the HR strategy across the business
• Determine employee development and engagement gaps and develop training programs to aid in professional development of Services team members
• Conduct classroom training sessions and cascade performance management and other HR initiatives to Services personnel
• Provide day-to-day employee relations support to the 4 campuses
• Partner with Services leadership to build morale and increase employee retention and productivity
• Provide trend data to CPCO and Chief Program Officer on HR metrics for the Services organization
• Be a visible HRBP by actively visiting and spending time on campuses 3-4 days each week

Position Requirements:


• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master of Human Resources preferred
• 5+ years experience working in Human Resources as an HRBP, HR Manager, Talent Development Specialist or Senior HR Generalist
• Previous experience in improving employee engagement and culture
• Proven leadership, change management, and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess strong leadership skills and business acumen to advise, lead, and develop other personnel to accomplish organization objectives
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to balance multiple
tasks
• Must demonstrate strong presentation and training skills in classroom settings with both small and large number of participants
• Must be advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and various HRIS systems

 

Certification or License Requirements: PHR, SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP certification
strongly preferred


Supervisory Requirements: No direct reports


Physical Job Requirements:
• Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or walking)
• Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a
copy machine, calculator and computer printer
• Must be able to communicate accurate information
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10lbs
• Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors, to adjust focus and maintain close
and distance vision


Environmental Job Requirements:
• Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during events
• Moderate noise as in a business office environment
 

Special Job Requirements: Travel as needed
