The Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church is seeking full and part-time pastors to serve some of its 700+ congregations for the appointment year beginning July 1, 2025. The conference encompasses the states of Nebraska and Kansas with churches from the very small to the very large and terrain ranging from high plains to rolling hills in small towns and large urban areas. The congregations in the Great Plains UMC experience varied worship contexts, grow as disciples through the lifespan, and put faith into action through a variety of mercy and justice initiatives. Clergy leaders who serve here are supported with grants and continuing education experiences. Are you interested in learning more about serving a congregation in a full or part-time capacity for the 2025 appointive year? For those able to complete seminary education in a hybrid or remote capacity, we can offer part-time appointments, some with parsonages. Read about the Great Plains Conference here and consider this invitation to join the witness of the United Methodist Church in the Great Plains by emailing Rev. Jenny Collins, the Dean of the Cabinet, ks.eastcentralds@gpcumc.org.
