SUMMARY:
The Director of People Operations plays a pivotal role at the heart of our organization, driving strategic HR initiatives that foster growth, innovation, and a supportive workplace culture. This dynamic leader champions the development and implementation of comprehensive people operations strategies, ensuring they align with our overarching mission and business objectives. With a deep commitment to cultivating an inclusive and empowering environment, the Director of Human Resources will guide our organization through the complexities of the modern workplace, enhancing employee engagement, diversity, and organizational performance.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time; Salaried Exempt
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-looking HR strategy that supports organizational goals, addresses workforce challenges, and fosters an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals.
- Talent Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and exit, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all staff. Oversee leave processes and other benefits related requests.

- Culture and Engagement: Cultivate a vibrant, inclusive culture that attracts, motivates, and retains top talent. Implement initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR practices comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, mitigating risks and safeguarding organizational integrity. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to all outside agencies, as required.
- Performance Management: Design and administer effective performance review processes that align employee objectives with organizational targets, fostering accountability and high performance. Oversee and resolve escalated employee relations issues.
- Competitiveness Metrics: Determines critical metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's human resources and talent management efforts; measures organizational performance and competitive standing using these indicators.
- Compensation Strategy: Research, design and implement a comprehensive compensation strategy that is equitable and aligned with our organizational goals, ensuring attraction and retention of talent while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Learning and Development: Champion learning initiatives that equip staff with the skills and knowledge required for their growth and the organization’s success. Coach managers in leadership skills and employee interactions to ensure a positive and high- performance culture.
- HR Operations: Streamline HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and user experience. Manage HRIS and associated vendor relationships. Serve as administrator for the organization’s 403(b) retirement and savings plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS/BS degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP required.
- Results-driven with a people-centric approach and proven ability to use HR metrics for strategic decision-making.
- Extensive experience managing the full spectrum of human resources functions in high volume, high growth businesses.

- Strong foundation in HR laws, best practices, and industry trends.
- Outstanding organizational, active listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, ensuring effective relationship management across all company levels. Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and senior experience with HRIS systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Must be willing to travel as required, mostly local travel to school sites
HOURS:
Working hours are generally 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, however some flexibility may be available. Additional / Alternate hours may be needed depending on report deadlines and events that are outside of regular work hours.
