Minimum Qualifications:

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.  Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

  • Education and demonstrated expertise in working with youth

  • Experience in establishing and implementing protocols for the safety and security of minors

Position Summary

The Director of Youth Programs is an operational manager that oversees, develops, and manages the youth programming portfolio of summer camps and a trio academic competitions. The director of youth programs is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all programs including partnership/program development, enrollment management, budgeting and revenue management, expense management and the securing of external funding through grants and contracts. The position involves a high degree of project and program management to ensure programs meet the highest quality standards, highlight the University, and invoke best practices in youth development while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. The position directly manages a team of two full-time youth professionals, seasonal part-time instructors, and temporary staff required to execute program delivery.

  • Coordinate year-round youth programming offered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel.
  • Provide year-round support in conjunction with the youth program coordinator to maintain, manage and support the daily tasks associated with running and managing youth programs.
  • Oversee annual revenue goal budget in excess of $900,000 in support of organizational mission.

Percentage of time: 40

Duties/Responsibilities: Research, identify, secure and execute new opportunities for university collaborations/partnerships/sponsored works/grants in support of new and existing programs.

Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise two FT Youth Staff members and partner in oversight of teams of temporary staff and instructors hired in support of programs.

Duties/Responsibilities: Oversee program evaluation and impact assessment of youth programs to include actively seeking
scholarship opportunities where program impact can be accessed and shared.
