KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees daily operations at the MHHE to support the museum's growth and enhance its regional, national, and international reputation.
2. Manages assigned staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, training, workflow management, and time tracking.
3. Leads long-term goal-setting and strategic planning in alignment with the KSU strategic plan, develop departmental procedures, and manage MHHE¿s resource allocation.
4. Supervises exhibits, collections, public programs, and outreach activities, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
5. Collaborates with stakeholders and KSU leadership to oversee fundraising efforts and donor relations.
6. Directs scholarly and creative activities for the MHHE team, including publications, conference presentations, and related activities.
7. Maximizes resource allocation to ensure compliance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
8. Facilitates high-level collaboration between the Office of Research, Division of Legal Affairs, Office of Fiscal Services, colleges, departments, and other support units.
9. Builds professional relationships with local, national, and international partners.
10. Partners with the communications team to align website content, marketing efforts, and other initiatives with the museum¿s strategic goals and mission.
11. Acts as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the MHHE on and off campus.
12. Serves on the Executive Team for Museums, Archives & Rare Books, and University Libraries.
13. Identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with University, BOR, USG, state, and federal regulations.
