We are a Christian faith-based, non-profit organization with a rich and evolving culture seeking a Director of Educational Services to assist with the Education Department.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: The Village with an active presence across education program sites

Position Summary: The Director of Educational Services provides direction and leadership for the overall administration and coordination of Wellspring Living’s educational services, including services provided at the Receiving Hope Center (RHC) and Girls’ Residential Program

(GRP). 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Provide evaluation, coaching, and supervision for school staff across program sites with direct support to Student Support Specialist.
  • Provide supervision, support, leadership development, and educator professional development for Deans.
  • Assist with the selection and staffing of personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educator professional development appropriate for personnel and assist Deans with growth plans for all educators.

Coordination and Partnership:

  • Coordinate with district school systems and agencies, including but not limited to Paulding County Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, and Fulton County Schools to deepen partnerships and expand service supports.
  • Regularly review and track progress made on MOU goals and service provision with district school systems and the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agencies and as the principal of record for Wellspring Living schools.

Curriculum and Instruction:

  • Oversee and identify curriculum needs and development and the execution of instructional best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure alignment of education offerings across the organization to ensure that all participants have the same access and opportunities for learning.
  • Observe and ensure the implementation of strength-based and trauma-informed models in all school settings.

Program Planning and Evaluation:

  • Ensure educational targets are met for each program by working closely with program directors regarding program KPIs.
  • Assist with program planning and evaluation activities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Wellspring Living educational initiatives.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Laws, State Department of Education Rules and Regulations, and County Board of Education Policies where applicable.
  • Work with the grant team to ensure compliance for existing grants and assist with new grant applications.
  • Regularly review and track progress made on MOU goals and service provision with district school systems and the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE).
  • Prepare and maintain an annual budget for all programs to ensure long-term and short-term plans are aligned with Wellspring Living, district, and state priorities.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in ongoing professional development workshops, seminars, and training sessions related to special education practices, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.
  • Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in special education.
  • Mentor and support new Educational Services team members in developing their skills and knowledge.

 

Professional Qualifications:          

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission Certificate.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably serving vulnerable populations; Minimum of 3 years serving in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs).

Position Requirements:   

  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment background checks, including criminal history, fingerprinting, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to ongoing compliance with these checks.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations.

Working Conditions: 

  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer.
  • Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area.
