Job Requirements
TRAVEL:
10% - 25% (domestic and international travel) required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MD, PhD, or equivalent degree with background in public health, ethics, compassion science, behavioral science, or related field.
Expertise in global health, ethics, or compassion science as reflected in teaching, presentations, and publications.
Experience at the senior level in strategic planning, resource mobilization, program development and program management.
Demonstrated capacity to engage a broad range of stakeholders and to develop and advocate for a strategic vision.
Widely recognized expertise in one or more subfields of global health, ethics, or compassion science.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to think conceptually, strategically, organizationally, analytically, and cross-disciplinarily to build public health programs.
Proven management and organizational skills, including experience in leading, building, and successfully managing a diverse team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Experience in leading global health programs.
Recognized as a global health leader with extensive collaborative networks.
Demonstrated ability to bring scientific knowledge to bear on global policy.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change.
High degree of self-awareness.
Competency in one or more non-English languages.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University/The Task Force for Global Health on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory/The Task Force for Global Health reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
