Position Summary
The Digital Operations Coordinator, working on Atlanta Falcons digital O&O properties, will coordinate and contribute to the brand vision and execution of projects in coordination with the Atlanta Falcons digital team. The core focus of this role will be on implementing a streamlined process of managing digital projects from concept to completion, on budget and on time. Qualified candidates will have experience with planning, directing, and coordinating digital projects and teams.
Using online project management, collaboration software, and cloud file storage systems, this role will assist in the continued development and monetization of all digital platforms and content. The right candidate must be able to help set and articulate a streamlined workflow that aligns holistically with Falcons roadmaps, editorial & content strategy, and business objectives. This role will also assist in executing content strategy plans across O&O properties by working within the Falcons Content Management System (CMS) and Visual Management System (VMS) to uphold brand guidelines and ensure accurate and timely delivery of information to users.
The candidate must be self-motivated and possess a strong data-driven mindset, and preferably has had direct project management experience working on consumer-facing digital products. This position will report to the Atlanta Falcons Digital Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Write and communicate project plans and requirements effectively to content creators, developers, designers, and stakeholders
- Use project management software to manage project timelines to keep all parties accountable for on time delivery, ensuring visibility into the workflows with digital roadmaps, creative requests, asset needs and delivery, and workback schedules
- Translate strategy and product vision into project deliverables with launch targets
- Work collaboratively across teams to ensure all relevant stakeholders are aware of budgets, timelines, resource allocations, etc.
- Provide transparency and recommendations on project trade-offs, understanding and coordinating dependencies across multiple teams with competing priorities
- Balance the priorities of a diverse group of stakeholders, while ensuring achievement of digital team's objectives and strategies by providing oversight of content roadmap, and ensuring the digital team’s bandwidth is dedicated to the successful creation of content.
- Assist with the ideation and implementation of fan-facing digital products
- Assist in the digital rollout strategy of multi-faceted content projects that require editorial, video and photo collaboration
- Maintain consistent workflow with the Communications team to ensure team and player-related information is accurate and up to date on our fan-facing properties
- Assist in the build-out and upkeep of digital content, marketing promotions, and day-to-day site maintenance within the Content Management System (CMS) and Visual Management System (VMS) as needed
- Work closely with the Digital Manager in staying aligned with the Ticket Sales Marketing team to ensure customer journeys and ticketing messaging on O&O aligns with the sales calendar and priorities
- Work with the Digital Manager to help pull, analyze, and distribute key O&O platform analytics on a monthly and annual basis
- Maintain communication with the Digital Partnerships team to help ensure partner deliverables on O&O properties are accurate and timely, while also assisting in the ideation of new and improved sponsored content series and placements.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional experience in a sports or content-oriented digital media company preferred
- Keen knowledge and understanding of project management, A|B testing strategies, data analysis and analytical thinking, preferably with experience in Omniture, Google Analytics or similar products
- Demonstrated experience managing the needs of multiple departments for a content-focused product/brand
- Ability to work within CMS, updating site features, posting content, etc.
- Experience working with common project management and communication tools such as Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, Asana, Slack, etc.
- Effective time management that leads to greater productivity
- High level of comfort communicating with senior product leaders, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders
- A sense of accountability and an ability to take ownership of initiatives, driving outcomes and meeting expectations
- High energy and capable of multi-tasking and context-switching with ease, in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Process-driven and extremely detail-oriented, with a love for documentation and organization
- Bachelor’s Degree

- Passionate sports fan and regular consumer of digital sports content
- A detailed knowledge of digital content and social media platforms, with an understanding of the differences in the audiences and their consumption habits
- Experience within a sports or media company, with an understanding of their core revenue generating processes
- Team player that thrives in projects that involve multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of what content generates engagement and excitement on digital platforms, particularly with younger audiences
- An analyst at the core that enjoys diving into metrics and ensures that decisions are data driven
- Experience working with large, cross-functional development teams
