Location: CYMT is a remote working environment with our operational office in Brentwood, Tennessee. We have staff located across the country. Some travel will be involved.
Objective: Develop and lead programs that equip leaders for ministry with college students. Lead CYMT college ministry grant initiatives. Support CYMT efforts to develop resources for college ministries.
Supervision: The College Ministry Director reports to the Sr. Director of Strategic Development and works with all CYMT staff to accomplish the CYMT mission.
Responsibilities:
- Educational Program Development
- Oversee the College educational concentration tracks by:
- Collaborating with the CYMT Graduate and Certificate teams to develop College ministry-based educational tracks and courses.
- Develop educational modules (workshops, classes, courses, webinars, etc) in college ministry.
- Adapt the CYMT Youth Ministry Practicum Workbook into a College Ministry Workbook
- Teach and facilitate workshops and classes inside and outside of the CYMT community.
- Ensure culturally competent support (coaches, materials, programs) for current and future College ministry students and ministry partners.
- Current College Ministry Grant Initiatives
- Recruit and lead a College Ministry Design Team that:
- Equips college ministers and students to design service and theology programs
- Designs and prototypes curriculum for college campus ministry using CYMT methodology
- Recruit college ministry partners to engage in the Young People’s Theology and Service Initiative Grant
- Annually support the launch of 2+ college theology and service programs
- Develop and prototype a Vocational Discernment Network curriculum and program with college students
- Relational Networking & Recruitment
- Build relationships and bridges between CYMT and key individuals and organizations who can help us accomplish our mission with college students.
- Develop a student pipeline to graduate and certificate programs by helping with CYMT recruiting, marketing, and sales efforts
- Represent and promote the CYMT at college ministry events
- Annually recruit 3-4 college students into one of our concentration programs
- Use HubSpot systems and tools to track your network contacts.

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of college campus ministry experience in a church or non-profit setting
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Masters degree in theology or related field (preferred)
- Experience teaching and training ministry leaders
- Demonstrated relational network and networking capabilities
- Experience in engaging in cross-cultural dialogue
- Proven strong verbal and written persuasive communication skills

Grant Funded Position: This position is funded by a Lilly Endowment, Inc. grant through December 31, 2029. CYMT intends to make the position permanent on our staff, which will require additional grant funding and/or sustainable income from the project.
