Children’s is a strong and influential hospital in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area, serving our pediatric population throughout Atlanta and the southeastern states. We bear witness to the depth of the roots that have coalesced in the establishment of Children’s CPE Program, a history with an exceptionally rich heritage. In 1998, the Henrietta Egleston Hospital and Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital merged and formed what is now known as Children's. This program was birthed from the vision and hard work of people including Rev. John Patton, Rev. Bob Gary and Rev. Imogene Bennett, significant influencers within the ACPE. Today, the CPE Program is managed by Rev. Amanda Alexander, ACPE Certified Educator and National Faculty Member with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education.
