Position Overview
The Circles Cobb Children’s Program Coordinator is a passionate, motivated individual who plays a crucial role in ensuring quality children’s programming each week through recruiting, training, coordinating, and working alongside our childcare team. The Children’s Program Coordinator has experience working with diverse socio-economic communities and administrative skills in office support, including email communications, scheduling employees, and volunteer management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of children’s programming, including creating lesson plans (using the Circles USA curriculum as a guide), ensuring adequate staffing and necessary materials each week, and ensuring childcare workers are familiar with each week’s lesson plan.
- Build relationships with children and their families, ensuring children are engaged.
- Assist in implementing effective volunteer and childcare worker recruitment strategies, utilizing various channels such as online platforms, community outreach, and partnerships.
- Facilitate the volunteer application, interview, and screening process, ensuring that all background checks, necessary documentation, and training are completed for participants, volunteers, and childcare workers.
- Maintain a volunteer database, accurately documenting volunteer information, availability, and skills.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for weekly meetings and events.
- Communicate regularly with volunteers and the childcare team, providing updates, reminders, and appreciation for their contributions.
- Maintain open and honest communication within the Circles community and work to mediate issues and resolve conflict when needed, including with staff and parents.
- Ensure confidentiality in all communications – both written and oral.
- Communicate with the team on relevant personal situations in the Circles community and complete additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Management experience is a plus
- Minimum of two years of experience in the Human Services field preferred
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Google Suite

Other Important Information
Position: Part-time, 12-15 hours per week. Opportunity for growth as we expand into neighboring communities in Cobb County, Georgia
Pay rate: $17-18 per hour
Location: Hybrid, must be able to attend weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings from approximately 4 – 9 pm
Hours: Flexible
